It’s been a while since you’ve seen an Archer in a blue car, but how can you not love it? The brand new, blue and neon yellow, Chevrolet Camaro has made its way to the Duluth, MN based race shop. The number 54 Camaro will race in the remaining seven races of the season, competing in the fast growing and competitive, SCCA Trans Am TA2 series. The hard work has officially started prior to the Archer Brothers’ first race on July 5th at Brainerd International Raceway.
The past few weeks have found the team working on everything you could imagine in preparation of a brand new race car from car alignment to decal placement and new crew uniforms. The Archer Brothers team knows that they have what it takes, to be competitive and a force to compete with, in their first race back. It’s only a matter of time until you see this car in the winner’s circle!
Why the change to a blue car scheme after a long legacy of red cars spanning Dodge Daytona’s, Jeep Comanche’s and Dodge Vipers? “I wanted something different,” says Tommy. “I wanted something that you haven’t seen before, something that will catch your eye on the racetrack and off the racetrack. Some people might not know that I started my career in a blue car – so I thought it was time to bring it back.”
