Duluth, MN – The Archer Brothers team is ready to rebound from their unfortunate endings in New Orleans and is all set to get back to the track – ready for redemption. This weekend’s race has the team visiting the 3.41 mile track at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, TX for round 11 of 12 in the Trans Am TA2 Muscle Car Challenge Series. The Archer Brothers team had minimal time prior to this race to fix the extensive damage on the #54 c3controls Camaro but the car is ready to go and looks as good as new!
The Archer Brothers team feels confident heading into this weekend’s race on a new track, as evident by the consistent performance of the team race over race and having front running cars with 3 Top 5 finishes in 6 races. “We have progressed throughout the season and the team continues to learn a little bit more about what I need in my car to be faster,” says Tommy. “The excitement has been building with me all year about going to new tracks. I love learning new tracks and Circuit of the Americas with its 20 turns and elevation changes looks to be very fun. I can’t wait to share the track with Archer Brothers COTA teammates Ron Keith and Dan Knox.”
Ron Keith, driver of the #25 OffSite Image Management Ford Mustang, is returning with the Archer Brothers team for his 7th race of the season. With 3 Top 10 finishes in 6 races throughout the 2015 season, Ron and his ‘Red Dragon’ will look to improve on his finishing position at New Orleans and has confidence knowing that his car is the best it has been all season. “This will be a new track for me but Rick and the OffSite team has done a great job preparing the car after New Orleans and I know we have a car ready to battle up front.”
Dan Knox will be joining the Archer Brothers team for the Austin, TX race driving the #49 ACS Manufacturing Chevrolet Camaro. Knox brings over 14+ years of Viper experience and will be a great addition to the Archer Brothers team this weekend. “I am excited to participate with the Trans Am TA2 series and partner with the Archer Brothers for the first time at Circuit of the Americas. I had a good debut there in the ACS Manufacturing, Lone Star Racing Viper back in September’s Lone Star LeMans. I hope to continue the trend and have a fun weekend with a new challenge.”
