Duluth, MN – The 2015 Trans Am TA2 season is coming to an end and what better way to conclude the season than having the final race at Daytona International Speedway. Daytona, with all of its history and bigger than life aura, brings out just a little more excitement than most tracks. The Archer Brothers team headed to Daytona earlier this week immediately following last week’s race at Circuit of the Americas and while the Archer Brothers are coming off an up and down weekend, the team is focused and ready to go out on top. The #54 c3controls Chevrolet Camaro continues to be a contender week over week and compete for a top 5 finish. “We have worked very hard to be competitive in the short time we’ve run the car in 2015 and we are very happy so far with our speed,” says Tommy. “Bringing the c3controls Camaro here to Daytona for the first time should prove to be another great experience.”
The Archer Brothers team will field 3 cars at this weekend’s race and will be joined by 2 familiar drivers. Ron Keith from Shawnee, KS will be driving the #25 Offsite Image Management Ford Mustang and Nate Stokey from Dover, OH will be behind the wheel of the #49 Chevrolet Camaro. Keith, comes off the last race in Austin, TX with a 15th place finish after sustaining heavy damage in qualifying but bounced back with a strong run from the back of the pack. Stokey, returns to the series since his last race in August at Road America and looks to capture his best finish of the season at a track he considers a favorite.
While the 2015 season isn’t technically over yet, the team is already starting to think about 2016 and what the 12 race season will require. As the team heads into the 2016 season, the work and dedication will not stop as they will continue to work throughout the Minnesota winter in preparation for the first race of the season in March 2016. The Archer Brothers team is excited to bring new ideas and teammates to the mix in their quest for the 2016 Trans Am TA2 Championship.
